Book Love

Must Read Book Alert – MAYBE EVER AFTER by Cassie Graham

I’m excited to share this book recommendation with you. My good friend Cassie Graham released a book last month, and it’s fabulous. The story is about what happens when you fall in love with your best friend. The characters are fun, and both do a lot of growing.

The best part of this book is that it just happens to feature one of my GAMER BOY characters! Yeah, you read that right. I won’t tell you which one of my Gamer Boy characters graces a few pages but here’s a hint, this characters own story will be hitting shelves later this year.

(That was a HUGE hint, people!)

Read an excerpt:

When I was done playing my set with the boys, I sauntered off stage and was met with a very giddy Brynn in the hallway near the bathrooms in the back. Her eyes were wide and playful and shit, seeing her made me happy.

I smiled. I smiled so big I felt my cheeks ached. “What are you doing here, Goose?”

“My plans got canceled so I came here for dinner and look what I find.” She clucked her tongue, slowly making her way to me. “Have you been playing all this time and you never told me?”

I gulped as she stepped in front of me, feeling heat radiate throughout my body. “Perhaps. I’m full of surprises.”

She narrowed her eyes, tugging on my jacket to bring me closer. “I don’t know how I feel about that. I feel like I’ve been lied to.”

I licked my lips, loving the way she was looking at me. “Don’t take it personally.”

She tried to be angry, but my hands played with the skin of her back and I could see her fading with every stroke of my fingers.

“Besides,” I added, “I’m not that great.”

She rolled her eyes. “I don’t agree. Seeing you up on that stage,” she stopped, looking forcefully into my eyes, “you were flawless up there.”

“Liked what you saw?”

“Let’s just say, it doesn’t hurt your case,” she purred.

I opened my mouth to say something back, sparring with her was one of my favorite past times, but she continued. “And on top of that, I didn’t like the way that girl was looking at you.”

My eyes narrowed, and I brought her closer to my body, her feet stepping in between mine. “Who?”

“That beautiful girl with Bennett.”

“Nina is his girlfriend,” I reminded her.

Brynn shook her head. “Not her. I know who Nina is. The other one.”

Ronnie. Right, shit. I forgot she was here. “That’s just Nina’s friend.”

“She was giving you sex eyes,” she informed, a slight furrow in her brows.

That made me laugh out loud and thankfully the band was already playing another song, so no one heard me. “Sex eyes aren’t a thing.”

Brynn’s hands skirted up my chest, locking around my neck. “I beg to differ, you are the King of Sex Eyes, Easton Cole.”

 “You would know.”

That delighted her. “Yes, I would.”

I bit my lip. “So, what you’re saying is you were jealous?” A buzz sizzled inside me and I had to push away my own insecurities because talking about jealousy brought up my own with Jude.

I was ready for her to feel a little jealous. As a matter of fact, I damn near reveled in it.

“I’m jealous, Easton,” she promised.

A wicked grin pulled on my lips and I lead her out the back door.  “Good.”

About Cassie Graham:

A chocolate mistress, Cassie Graham is a born and raised Arizona girl. Her sass knows no bounds and almost always has something kind to say, no matter the situation. She runs a platform of love and strives to bring those attributes out in every book she writes.

Cassie studied English and literature in college and has an intense love for fairytales. Go figure. Though she loves a good fairytale, she promises to always put her characters through the wringer for that happy ending. She started writing early in her high school career after an English teacher forced her to write in a journal. Four years and thirty-something notebooks full of words later, she found her passion.

Being a hopeless romantic, she found her love for romance after she fell in love at eighteen. Stories became a lot easier to write after she found her soulmate. Love exists and she’s blessed enough to live it every day.

If Cassie isn’t shoulder-deep in writing a version of a fairytale, you can find her front porch sitting with her husband and daughter, eating all the bread, gossiping with her best friends, visiting Disneyland, supporting strong women, listening to cheesy music and reading great books by amazing people. She loves binge watching Supernatural, drooling over Dean, Sam and Cas, and going to conventions. She also enjoys spreading love any chance she can. So, if you run into her, give her a hug or a high-five. She guarantees they’re magic.

Author of Unable to Resist, Anyone But Him, The Truth of a Liar, Enchanting Wilder, Surviving Wilder, The Girl Behind the Red Door and Maybe Ever After.
